Orange County will soon host its inaugural tap dance festival from July 27-July 29, 2017. Billed as a celebration of tap dance, this festival will be the place to be for tap dance aficionados hailing from all over.

Held at the Impact Dance Center in Los Alamitos and produced by Reverb Production Company, the event promises to make an impact (beyond the sounds of tap shoes clanking against the floor).
Founders and directors Ron and Leah Silva also make up part of the esteemed festival faculty, which include leading television choreographers, EMMY and TONY award nominees and winners, legendary tapers, international master teachers, dance adjudicators and renowned performers.

The primary mission of the OC Tap Festival is to progress the the art of tap dancing, strengthening its presence from Orange County to the rest of the world. Another principle goal is to inspire new generations of dancers through sound dance education with exposure to the roots of tap.

Over 40 master classes with intimate class settings will be offered along with panel discussions, private lessons, a Southern California tap jam and cutting contest. There are also very special tap history lunches scheduled with living legends Ivery Wheeler and Ted Louis Levy; a rare opportunity not to be missed!

Full three day class passes are still available for purchase and there are also single and two day passes available as well. With special group rates and teacher discounts, this is a perfect event to mobilize your students, teams and classmates to attend as a group.

The schedule is organized into three different levels: Intermediate, High Intermediate (for ages 12+) and Advanced Pro. Each class in 90 minutes long and there are 13 master classes per level.

The dynamic event comes to a close with a premier tap dance show called Back to the Roots presented by Reverb Production Co. Held at the Gem Theater in Garden Grove, this show features the Reverb Tap Company along with many of the all star, esteemed faculty, all together on stage for a show for the ages.
