Introducting Matthew Castillo - ATOMIC's DJ-in-residence.
This week I’m pleased to introduce to you ATOMIC’s resident DJ, Matthew Castillo.
Matthew has a passion and love for music and dance. Matthew started ballroom dancing in 1998, and soon found himself branching out into other dance mediums. “At the time, swing was king,” said Matthew, so he added swing to his dance repertoire.
He first got involved with the ATOMIC Ballroom by being a student, and then a teacher, of the former owner, Jerry Jordan. He started DJing, and discovered that he had a knack for spinning tunes regularly at ATOMIC. Matthew started working with couples looking to make their wedding days special. He made house calls and worked with the couples on everything from creating their first dance to making sure that their set list during the wedding and reception was just right.
In 2000, Matthew fully blended his love of dance and music and created MC Entertainment. Not only is he ATOMIC’s official DJ-for-hire, but he can help make your wedding day spectacular too. When he’s not helping make a couple’s dream come true he can be found DJing at ATOMIC-Placentia, where he spins the best ballroom, Latin, and swing tunes.
