Trisha Pollock - the heart and soul of ATOMIC.

The heading on Trisha Pollock’s business card reads “I make things happen” and it’s so true.  Within a few minutes of talking to Trisha one Big Band Friday night at ATOMIC she got a couple an introductory dance lesson, helped usher people in at the front desk, and chatted with another student before her first private lesson about her dance experience.  It was clear why this dynamo is the heart and soul of ATOMIC – she does it all, she does it with a smile, and she makes you feel right at home.

She freely admits that that’s her goal.  “I want everyone who comes here to feel like they’re part of the ATOMIC family,” she said, and she means it.  When I personally left California for a few weeks to visit family Trisha put out an APB on me – just because she knows she can see me at ATOMIC almost every single Friday.  That’s how dedicated she is to making sure that every person who comes through ATOMIC’s doors has a wonderful dance experience.  She genuinely wants everyone to have a good time and she helps cultivate a friendly and fun environment wherever she goes.  No one should ever worry about not knowing anyone at ATOMIC because by the end of the night Trisha will make sure that you’ve made a few new friends.

Trisha started coming to ATOMIC in 2007 as a student when it was still owned by Jerry Jordan.  Very quickly ATOMIC became her home away from home.  At one point she was taking 20 classes a week, and to this day she holds the studio record for the most classes ever, ever taken.   Trisha took every single dance class that was offered and started helping out with the social dances.  Soon after the ATOMIC Ballroom changed owners, and when Trisha was laid off from her day job Shesha asked her to be a permanent member of the ATOMIC team, where she very quickly proved herself to be indispensable.

When Trisha isn’t working to make sure that everyone who walks through the doors of ATOMIC feels right at home she’s making sure that couples have a magical first dance on their wedding day.  Trisha has spearheaded ATOMIC’s involvement with weddings, making sure that the bride and groom get off on the right foot, no matter what kind of dance they want.  From something traditional to a choreographed routine that’s all their own couples can be assured that Trisha will coordinate everything so that your first dance is the last thing you have to worry about.  Thanks to Trisha ATOMIC is now a destination for bachelorette parties and creates a fun alternative to the traditional “girl’s night out.”

You can find Trisha at the ATOMIC Ballroom six days a week, from afternoons until late in the evening, so make sure you say hello the next time you’re in.  But, if you’ve been coming to ATOMIC for any length of time I’m sure you’ve already met her.
